At 42, I was standing at a farm fence watching the sun go down. I was an alcoholic, addicted to pain pills, 300+ lbs, three failed marriages, nerve damage in my hand — I couldn't even wash my hair without ending up in bed for days. I wanted to die.

But that's not how the story ends.

A friend gave me a recording of healing scriptures. I listened over and over and over again. My body responded to God's word. The nerve damage healed. I learned to play guitar with the same hand I couldn't lift above my head. I lost over 125 lbs. 8+ years clean and sober.

Nothing changed until my words changed. I stopped speaking death and started speaking life. I stopped calling things what they were and started calling them what I wanted them to be. That's not positive thinking — that's biblical authority.
